Career Management Tools
1. Career Management Tools
Different people have different skills. Therefore different jobs are going to suit different people. It's not about choosing the right answer - it's about finding out if your personality is right for a specific job - or not, as the case may be. For example, you can find out how you relate to other people, or what your approach to solving problems is like.
In conjunction with INSALA, we're pleased to present four questionnaires. Take them and discover your preferred way of working, your values and the type of roles you could be best suited for. You never know, it might turn up a few surprises.
Complete one or more of these questionnaires and receive a full-length report for £9.99 per questionnaire.

4. MatchPoint
In our culture, most people can be categorised as one of six types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, or Conventional. Each type is the product of a characteristic interaction among a variety of cultural and personal forces including peers, biological heredity, parents, social class, culture, and the physical environment.
The objective of this assessment is to help you focus your interests in a career direction through the use of a model developed by John Holland.

The objective of this assessment is to help you understand your own working style, to understand the work style of those around you and to help you bridge the gap between your working styles and others’ styles.
You also have an opportunity to see how others perceive you after you have discovered your own working style. Look for this feature at the end of your particular style synopsis within Scoring and Results.

6. Interpreting your Results
CenterMark
Your free mini-report indicates your preferred “working type” and the four dominant characteristics of this type. The results are based on the answers you provided in the questionnaire. Your personal full-length report goes into more details about your personality type and provides suggestions of careers that you might be suited to. Of course, please do bear in mind that you know yourself best!

Career Preferences
This tool can be used over and over again as the ground that it covers changes with your experiences and your personal career development. Your results should inform you that your chosen career is in fact the right one, or give you the push you need to make that career change you've been considering.
The exercise is more about the process than about the outcome but hopefully your personal report will have identified what job satisfaction looks like for you. You can refer back to this when faced with difficult decisions on your path to a fulfilling career.

MatchPoint
All the types are available for your review. As you study the types, note the descriptions that you "identify with" or "fit you". Most people are a combination of two or three types.
Once you have studied all the types and confirmed the types that best describe you, you will be ready to review MatchPoint Type Combinations.

Working Styles
Your Working Style describes how you primarily approach and deal with people and situations at work. Many people will say their Working Style is similar to the way they behave outside their work.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking that one style is better or more desirable than another. Everyone expresses himself or herself differently. Working Styles will help you better understand and appreciate these differences and provide you tips on how to “read” the situations and needs of the people with whom you work. With this insight, you can adapt strategies and adjust your behaviour in small ways that will significantly improve your working relationships, communication, and effectiveness.
